About Me

Hi! This is me, Vicki and this is my daughter A. A is nearly 8 and a complete style queen! Needless to say, she LOVES having her hair done and is happy to sit and look through pictures on the Internet to find the next exciting new style! 

It has taken me 8 years to slowly learn how to care for curly hair and I am proud to say, I think I finally understand the basics! There is so much to learn - for example, when I am washing and conditioning A's hair, I use 8 times as much conditioner on her hair as I would on mine! I never realised how much Afro hair sucked in moisture and how weak and dry it is! 

I started this Blog because I love doing my daughter's hair, and she loves the finished results! Quite often now, she instructs me as to what style she would like! I'm dreading to think what she is going to get me to do when she's 15! Luckily, she's still at the age where she enjoys me doing anything to her hair AND she is fantastic about sitting still whilst I do it!
